You will find the Lord your God, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29
There was an old Gatorade commercial where athletes swallow the power drink, work up a sweat, and orange or green sweat beads pop out everywhere. Then comes the question, “Is it in you?”
When it comes to the question of fixing your life, the answer is “No, it’s not in you.” The mind that led you down the path of sickness won’t lead you to a place of health.
Maybe you’ve been telling yourself you can figure things out on your own. But, I don’t think so. If you could do it alone, you’d have done so by now. Although you might see it as weakness, the greatest act of strength is admitting that you don’t have the answers, trusting that God does, then turning to Him for help.
Turning to Him takes various forms; It might be as simple as prayer, or it might be counseling, books, workshops, accountability groups and such. Be open to many different avenues for answers and for help.
