Why does it cost so much?
Isn’t it nice to know you’re not the only one who wondered about that? The facilities cost for the conference center, meals, and lodging, while substantial, make up only a part of putting on an event of this nature. In addition, we have more than a dozen paid staff on-site, many of whom are licensed professionals who clear their schedule just to be available this week; that’s how much they believe in Lose It for Life. The highest rated category on our Program Surveys is Value for Cost. We’ve been told time and time again it has been a priceless experience. We trust you’ll also find you receive a life-changing return for a relatively small investment.
If something comes up that prevents my attending, what is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel 10 days or more prior to the conference, you’ll receive a refund of the amount you’ve paid minus an administration fee of $200. If you cancel less than 10 days before the start of the conference, no refund shall be given. Registration fees may be rolled over to another confirmed workshop, but a transfer fee of $100 per person will be assessed.
Can I get a private room?
Yes, there is a slightly higher price for a private room. But, before you make that choice, our past attendees have shared that one of the best parts of the event was sharing a room and connecting with someone going through the same issues. Connections are a vital component of the event and we don’t want you to miss out on such an important opportunity.
What airport do I fly into?
The Hilton Dulles hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Washington Dulles Airport . Those flying into Washington Reagan Airport will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the host hotel.
Is it okay to attend if I can’t exercise or have walking difficulties?
Absolutely, our exercise coordinator does a wonderful job of offering an “at your own pace” program. Although optional, exercise is an important part of the program, no one is expected to do more than they’re capable of. We have rooms available that require minimal walking and handicapped accessible rooms if needed. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation packet where any of these special needs may be noted.
Can special dietary needs be met?
In most cases, if you let us know what your needs are, we will work with the dietary staff at Town and Country to meet them. Those with highly unusual needs may need to make arrangements to bring some of their own food.
Do you accept Health Insurance Coverage?
Unfortunately insurance companies do not reimburse for programs like this. You may be able to consider the cost of the program as a deductible medical expense for federal tax purposes. The IRS does not make specific rulings about the tax-deductibility of a particular program, so please check with your tax adviser.
Do you offer childcare?
This workshop is intended to help you receive your healing, so we ask that your children stay with a trusted family member or friend. There is no childcare at the workshop event, and children are not allowed to attend any part of the event.
