I can’t begin to encourage the caller who has the agnostic boyfriend to just move on. Learn about codependency and caretaking and avoid this kind of situation in the future. I spent years in dating relationships and a 21-year marriage with a supposedly Christian man — all who were very narcissistic. While my two wonderful children were the blessing in the mess, I really wouldn’t want to see another woman stuck in circumstances where you are taken advantages of and are left, in the end, emotionally, physically and financially broken. It’s a hard climb back. And as they said, forgiveness is the least of your worries.
