The military man who called in, who talked about his wife and he having a very sexual relationship, engaging in pornography, etc. . . . When Mr. Stoop talked to him, he made it sound like the man was the only one who enjoyed the pornography and various sexual perversions. While a man can lead a woman into further sin, and while he has the responsibility to lead the relationship in healing from the mutual sins, please don’t let your own experience or lack thereof make you think that women cannot come into a relationship just as perverted and sinful as the man they are involving themselves with. I grew up being told that my real father was a pervert. I knew the verse very well about the sins of the fathers being carried on to the sons (and I assume daughters) down to the third and the fourth generation. I know that even though I am a Christian, I don’t always feel loving toward God (see Bold Love by Dan Allender?). Though you may hold your own wives up as pristine figures of Christian perfection, please don’t let them blind you to the reality of Christian womanhood. There are Christian women who sin, even sin a lot. Christianity doesn’t like to talk about that, but it’s true. . . . Or maybe it’s just true of me. My church seems to think that I am the whore of Babylon, not that I talk about things like this around them.
