- My wife is using an incident that happened 25yrs ago to separate from me; how can we work things out?
- How should a pastor handle the potentially volatile husband of a member who is being counseled?
- Why can’t I get rid of my excess stuff?
This is the Every Man’s Battle testimony Steve read on the radio today:
I am leaving EMB hopeful. Having sabotaged my marriage of 18 years regularly throughout with only brief periods of sobriety from my 40 year addiction to pornography and sex, I am far more hopeful than I imagined was possible. I’ve learned more about the nature of my addiction, the extent of my “woundedness”, and the impact of my sin on my family, friends, loved ones, and community this weekend than I believed possible in 2 days. I leave encouraged to pursue God and true intimacy with my wife in spite of the difficult circumstances I face when I go home to face the mess and hurt that I caused in my past pursuit of sin. I leave EMB being known by a group of men and knowing a group of men who have my permission to speak into my life and hold me accountable for my actions. And I have been given permission and the honor and privilege to speak into theirs. I leave having experienced the grace of God.– Ethan
