First caller: Dr. Townsend hit the nail right on the head when he asked the caller to tell him what scripture in the Bible okays abandonment. The caller DID say that it was biblically okay to divorce in such a case– but she denied that she said it later in the call when Dr. Townsend asked for proof.
Further, it sounded to me like the caller was a little too invested in that man’s situation because all of the advice she was given was met with a sort of “uh… okay” instead of a genuine appreciation for the advice. She even sounded defensive at times (“because he wants to be happy…”). What? Perhaps the *best* advice she could have given her friend was to tell him to call the show himself!

I heard the same thing Bella…Sounds like she wants him to leave his wife to be with her or something…She definitely sounded way to involved emotionally.
