I enjoyed the advice from Dave to Sherry. My mom is 85 and can also be fatalistic and negative at times. But she does laugh and likes to get out, etc. She is very changeable. None of this is new though; she has always been that way. She does jump to conclusions about many things, which I find highly annoying. I usually start an argument with her “like you got it all figured out already before it happens” or something like that. Her education and knowledge of the Bible is obviously very limited, although she is a diehard Catholic. I like the agreement style since it does sound stupid, and I think she would agree it sounds absurd. I do think this method would work!
