Caller with the question about friendships. I have had the same issue with someone I considered a best friend for nearly 2 decades. I finally took the courage and ended the friendship. It wasn’t easy because I’m a sentimental person, but I had to come to terms that I could no longer remain loyal to a one-way friendship. I now have room for friends that believe that friendship goes both ways. (And yes, being married, having kids, etc., are nothing more than lame excuses. Everyone can take a little time to invest in a friendship, and the benefits of TRUE friendship are priceless!)
