This is the Marriage Solution Workshop testimony that was read on the radio today:

Before this workshop my life was filled with anxious control over everything my husband was doing or not doing as a husband, father, and pastor.

This marriage workshop has been such an eye-opener to the changes I need to make in myself and my vacillating ways. I am leaving this weekend with the tools I need and the hope of a marriage better than I could have ever imagined was possible before.

I would tell any couple considering this workshop to please come for yourself, your family, and your friends. It is such a good investment in your emotional healing. – Annette

I agree with you to an extent, The entitlement that I perceived in the caller’s voice and the coddling of her by the hosts, along with no mention of the pain she may have caused her husband, irked and irritated me. Female adultery has always been handled differently by newlife. There is always an attempt to dig deeper to find out why a woman cheats, none of which is afforded to a man in similar situation. say that NewLife is not and never a christian ministry is just plain wrong. Newlife hosts are human just like us and may have blind spots just like the rest of us. I have been listening to this show for a long time, and there have been too many times, where I felt like the advice coming out of them was driven by holy spirit.

Regarding the call from Stacy, I know one of these. He is a sociopath, and you will probably not see the times when he cons them. The one I knew was at work, and really knows how to pour on the charm, uses compliments, also the cute little boy book, the ‘feel sorry for me because I had a hard past’ look, and total charm. Shortly after all the charm, warmth and overwhelming things in common, it turns very inappropriate very fast. He starts out very complimentary, with all women, including me. He is a liar, about who he is, lied about how many kids he has, and other obvious stuff that will come back to bite him- but he doesn’t realize that others have known him longer than I did. So they are the ones I asked. That was years ago. Since then he’s treated other females really bad, while they seem to be hooked on his compliments and the chemistry that was created. He was physically abusive with one I know of, and he has a restraining order against him, and that much closer to jail. He was has jail in his past, for pimping. Every time he meets a new female he takes naked pictures of them and shows them to all the guys at work. Deep down he hates women, has no respect for them, and only wants to make a donkey out of them. At first I found it hard to believe any of the bad things said about him, and the way others shunned him. But over the years, the truth was revealed. Don’t ever believe what one of these creeps tell you, but ask and look into it for yourself. And don’t think you will change or help him. He will take your money, and any self esteem you have left and only brag about anything he took from you behind your back. Yes, Stacy there is evil in the world, he would even pretend to know things about the Bible so I would be alone with him. It never worked but not for his lack of trying. Men like this awaken the sympathy in women, and they do stand out because they get your attention. Don’t let it, it’s a trick. This one is in his late 40s and there is no excuse for his controlling psycho behavior.

Also I would like to add that he obviously is not reflective or intelligent enough to look into himself and work on it. He lives to do what he does. EVERYTHING he does INCLUDING what he drives, is to get attention, and use females. He thinks he is smart, like a psychopath would. He is cruel and controlling, only in it for himself, extremely selfish. I think guys do this for control reasons, to build himself up in a superficial way by lying to others, because he feels so small himself, and because he knows he has nothing to offer, so continues lying and being a phony. Us rescuers want to reel them in and try to fix them, but it’s best to just throw them back, before they ruin your life, which they would have no regrets doing.
