Terms and Conditions

A credit card or debit card is required to register to bid and is the only form of payment accepted.

The card you register with will ONLY be charged if you have the highest bid at the auction’s close.  If you win a bid, you will be notified by e-mail that you have won, and your card will be charged.  Shortly after that, you will be e-mailed a receipt detailing the item(s) won and the amount charged.

A 3% processing fee will be included on your receipt in addition to your total purchase / shipping and handling charges.

Certain items will list a flat shipping and handling cost in the description. By placing your bid, you are agreeing to pay that shipping and handling cost in addition to the amount of your winning bid.  Your card on file will be charged in the amount of your winning bid plus stated shipping and handling cost. The stated shipping and handling charge will be automatically added to your invoice regardless of whether you arrange to pick up the item in person.  No refunds will be issued for shipping and handling charges charged for items that are picked up.  Stated shipping and handling charges are for the contiguous US only; winners requesting items to be shipped outside of the contiguous US are responsible for the cost of additional shipping and handling charges. At our sole discretion, shipping and handling charges may be reduced if multiple items are shipping from the same location.

IRS rules require us to put a value on each auction item. If you bid and win an item, your receipt will show your donation amount and the fair market / retail value of the item you won.  Fair market value has been established by the donor of each item . . . but we think many of these items are priceless! 

Travel cost to or from any of the destinations is NOT included in the price and is your sole responsibility.

For any boating excursion, it is the sole discretion of the boat owner to confirm that weather conditions are safe for the day that the excursion is planned.  Thank you for understanding that the safety of everyone involved is placed above the inconvenience in needing to re-schedule at the last minute due to weather concerns.

You can contact the Auction Organizer two ways.

1) When you are viewing an auction item, you will see a button under the bid box that says “Ask a Question“.

2) From the Auction page, click Help at the top of the auction page and select “Contact Auction Organizer“.

If you are OUTBID, you will receive an email and text message with a link back to the item to increase your bid. There is no need to add any cents. All bids are placed in whole numbers. 

Bidders will receive an outbid email and text message whenever they are outbid. Each notification will have links directly back to the item they were out bid on.

If you placed a bid and need it removed, you will need to contact the Auction Organizer to remove the bid. From the Auction main page, click Help at the top of the auction page and select “Contact Auction Organizer“.

A Reserve Price is a bid amount that must be reached before the item will sell. If the bidding does not meet the reserve price, the item will close without a winner.

If a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional 5 minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped.  This is done to protect anyone from swooping in at the very last second and placing a winning bid.

A Buyers Premium is an extra fee that is added to your final invoice amount to help cover any fees associated with shipping, handling or processing payments. You can find the amount of the premium on the Bid/Buy Now page.

Blind bidding is used when there is more than one of the same item being offered.  The number of winners will be determined by the quantity of the item.  For example, if there are 3 of the same item being offered, the top 3 bidders will win the item.  All bid history is hidden.  When placing a bid, you’ll be notified if that bid is in a winning position.  If not, you will need to enter a higher bid.

When the auction closes, if you won an item or items, you will receive an e-mail from noreply@charityauctionstoday.com congratulating you.  It will contain a link to view the items(s) you have won. If you opted in to receive notices via text, you will also receive a text message.

The email (and text message if opted in to receive text notifications) you receive notifying you that you have won will contain a link to view your “invoice”.  Invoice is the term used for what is automatically generated at the close of the auction that itemizes your items and any additional charges.  Soon afterwards, your card will automatically be charged and you will receive a second invoice stamped “PAID” which will serve as your tax deductible receipt.

The winner of any item that needs to be shipped will be contacted by New Life on October 1 to confirm shipping address and preferences.

The winner of any non-physical item will be contacted by e-email on Oct 1 with details on how to redeem this item.

5) You will see an Edit and Delete icon on the left side of the Billing & Payment page.
