ABOUT NEW LIFE
A Proven Path to Transformation
For nearly four decades, New Life has been a trusted source of hope and transformation, offering Christian counseling, faith-based therapy, and recovery support to individuals and families navigating addiction, mental health challenges, and relationship struggles. As a nationally recognized nonprofit, New Life delivers compassionate care through a broad spectrum of services—including biblical counseling, support groups, dynamic workshops, and digital resources—all rooted in God’s truth.
OUR MISSION
Transforming lives through
compassionately communicating
God's truth and connecting people
into redemptive relationships
At the heart of our ministry is the New Life LIVE radio program, broadcast on over 250 stations and streamed across platforms, reaching millions each day with practical wisdom and encouragement. Whether through our counseling network, live events, or resource center that fields thousands of calls monthly, New Life is dedicated to guiding people toward emotional, spiritual, and relational healing, helping them discover connection, purpose, and the life God desires for them.
OUR VISION
Reaching people with biblical truth and the best in psychological knowledge for emotional, relational, physical and spiritual transformation through media, events, and
personal connection
OUR HISTORY
Four Decades and Beyond
Founded in 1988 by Stephen Arterburn as for-profit Christian treatment centers, New Life quickly expanded through acquisitions and the launch of Women of Faith in 1996. In 1998, it transitioned to a nonprofit by selling major assets and spinning off its radio program as New Life LIVE. Rebranding as New Life Ministries in 1999, the organization broadened its reach with the New Life Counselor Network and impactful workshops like Every Man’s Battle.
Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, New Life grew its national presence with the help of faithful donors, developing new programs and expanded media, including cable TV and digital resources. Adapting to the pandemic, it moved workshops online and launched Life Recovery Today. Leadership changes, such as Becky Brown becoming President in 2023, and national recognition underscore New Life’s evolution into a leading nonprofit ministry offering counseling, recovery, and faith-based support nationwide.
