Eastern Time ZoneI was a proud to be a Soldier. I was strong, I had courage, I was a problem solver, I believed in honor and selflessness. I was a Christian man, dedicated to my faith, spiritually mature, ready to share the glory of Jesus to the world. What came next hit hard: I retired. I wasn’t ready for the pain that came with my new freedom. So I started drinking to dull the pain. I went from an independent God fearing man to a man dependent on alcohol fleeing the face of God. I tried to solve the problem using the same skills as when I was in the army. I failed. Did you know there is something below rock bottom? I found it.
I had only one choice. Ask for help and admitted my weaknesses. I found strength and redemption by humbling myself and seeking support from others. I discovered that Jesus was still my savior and I still was his child. God healed my wounds. Now I am here to help you.
Those who are serving, have served, first responders, and anyone who has a special connection to the armed service are welcome to participate in the most important mission of your life. We will rely on our relationship with Jesus, on the Bible, the 12 steps and each other to accomplish this mission: Full Life Recovery.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
