INTERLUDE

Interlude is a romantic five-day, four-night Christ-centered retreat focused on marriage and ministry. We desire this to be a “married couple’s getaway;” a purposeful time together with your spouse.

We desire to accomplish four goals as a result of this “getaway”: 1) A time of ministry to you as a couple through your marriage; 2) A time of relaxation and rest, and a break from the busyness of everyday life to focus one-on-one with your spouse; 3) An unhurried way to share with new and seasoned couples how God is uniquely using New Life; 4) An opportunity to prayerfully ask for your involvement and financial partnership with New Life. This “getaway” also serves as a key friend-raising and fund-raising event for 2025.

As an invited guest of New Life, complimentary ocean view accommodations and group meals for the duration of the event will be provided. Transportation to and from the resort, and free-time meals and activities are at your expense.

As a donor-supported ministry, we ask each couple to prayerfully consider financially supporting New Life through this event. As a note: our direct cost for each couple attending is estimated to be $4,500.

There is an intentional progression to our event program with each session building on the previous one. As an attendee, we will ask that you make plans to attend the entire event and all group sessions.

Yes, but extra room nights are limited. A special extra night rate of $350 may be available up to 3-days before and/or after our meeting dates (plus taxes & fees). The earlier you request extra nights the better. Extra room nights at this rate is only available through us, please contact Brian Blomberg to get extra room confirmations BEFORE flights are booked.

We know that weekends are precious time for family and as such, we have designed the event pattern to allow you to participate in your family weekend activities and still be able to attend the event.

We make every effort to re-book cancellations. If you cancel within 45 days of the event and we are not able to re-book your reservation, we will ask you to cover the direct expense of your cancellation.

Since we have experience with similar events, we have been able to utilize proper long-term planning, frugal expense containment, in-kind gifts and timely contract negotiations so that we can host this event in an upscale location for a cost that might otherwise secure a much lesser property. God’s timing is everything. We also have the ability to book these rooms at a special tax-exempt rate; which will require special documentation by all attendees. More on this as we approach the event.

No. In addition to purposeful programming, plenty of free time has been scheduled so you can enjoy this wonderful resort, its amenities and the surrounding area. In fact, the entire day on Wednesday has been set aside for free time and relaxation.

The resort is located just a stones throw from downtown San Jose del Cabo which is the “quieter” side of Cabo. The cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are generally referred to as “Los Cabos” or “Cabo.” Los Cabos is located at the base of the California Baja peninsula on the far western coast of Mexico, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Air travel should be booked into the LOS CABOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SJD). From the airport, the resort is a short 20-minute, 13-mile drive. Direct flights are available from most major cities. Transportation to the resort is at your own expense and further information on transfers to the resort will be provided as we get closer to the event. Unless you come in early, Sunday, September 28th is your travel day (no formal activities are planned for that day). Air departures from SJD can be made anytime on Thursday, October 2 nd or any day thereafter.

As a romantic, marriage focused retreat and getaway, children are asked not to attend (exceptions will be made for nursing mothers).
